Donations from P&O Facilities
Every prosthetic and orthotic facility in the country has "the closet" which is usually stuffed with prostheses, orthoses, overstock items or slightly used but non-returnable goods. You can reclaim your storage space by cleaning out the closet and sending a donation to P.O.C.C. Upon receipt of your donation, a letter will be sent to your facility from MedShare International acknowledging your contribution. You and your CPA are responsible for determining the value of the donation for tax purposes.

In order for you to receive the proper acknowledgement of your donation, you must include your name and address on the outside of the box as the shipper. If you are serving as a collection point for your patients to drop off their devices and they desire to get tax donation letters directly, please include in the shipment a letter with names and addresses of the donor. Also you must write on the outside of the box "See donor information letter included" so that the volunteers will be alerted to find the additional information rather than sending your facility a tax donation letter for the entire shipment.
It is preferred that any devices are disassembled as much as possible but that we will gladly disassemble devices in the warehouse.
There is a strong need for working tools, supplies and equipment as well. Before sending anything that requires a pallet please contact so that the warehouse can be notified in advance.
